This is my sketch for my Solar Plate print. it features american, japanese, and mexican de los muertos themes. japanese oni biting on a skull biting a sugar skull which contains all styles within itself. plumerias are the eyes, rose for the nose, and pin striping for aesthetics found in modern sugar skulls. japanese cherry blossom and rose are in the background for more variety with the background.

Hmm, to the first part
I'm better than procrastinating. But its like bread. You gotta let the yeast rolls rise before you bake them.. this is me procrastinating on my outlines. Its already hand written. I just have to type and save them. Nothing like facebook and BLOGGER to keep my procrastinating process entertaining.

Trying to stay above the rest.
There's a lot of people with skills here at Cameron. Ive been motioning towards shutting everyone out lately. I keep learning new things, but my hard work always gets my A's in the department not my relationships in the department. I just want to make prints lately as I should be doing now this late in the game of getting me BFA. Meeting new people has me thinking outside of the realm of art. I have to find some motivation soon. But a lot of the students just head towards mediocrity. I don't even care about the grades in the end. I just want to be the best technician in my field. Is this passion?

Wow!...
The good thing of a truck is that I can take it anywhere. But if a fuel pump craps out you're not going anywhere. I spent a couple hundred on this fix. I'm glad I know how to wrench and not just be into myself and only know printmaking and drawing.

BIG STONE!!!!!!!
This is very tiring. This is my second litho but its absolutely enormous. Its hard to model flat. I need to moch something up to slant this thing. A lot of anxious feelings are going on when I draw. Iam going to be trying a thing called patience...
