One, ni, san series
These are drypoints I did earlier this school semester. I love doing line work it feels great when scratching into the surface. The last three images are Samurai Hannya, they are done on copper. for anyone who does dry points on plexiglass that has a real understanding of the shape and volume copper is very nice for control.

Do I sketch?
i have yet to upload much but i will tell you the only thing that sets me apart is my practice in sketching. please sketch like you txt! i found this on another blogger site.
"A SKETCHBOOK IS AN INTERNAL DISCOURSE THAT TAKES AN ARTIST FROM AN INITIAL IDEA TO THE EVENTUAL WORK OF ART. A SKETCHBOOK IS A RESEARCH DOCUMENT, SHOEBOX AND A JUNK DRAWER. AN ARTIST’S SKETCHBOOK SERVES AS CHRONICLE AND WITNESS. THROUGH SKETCHBOOK-JOURNALS, STUDENTS BEGIN TO RECORD THEIR CREATIVE PROCESS IN A WAY THAT LEADS TO THEIR OWN SELF-DEFINITION OF CREATIVITY AS WELL AS TO THE DISCOVERY OF INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT."

Tombstone
Wyatt Earp
Morgan Earp
Virgil Earp
Doc Holiday
My brother in law on his way home from Arizona stopped in Tombstone. I didn't know about it until he explained the whole story. I watched that slightly older film with Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer. It was cool. This lead me to an idea for my first litho portraits. I am planning on the portraits of the Earp brothers, and Doc Holiday. I am thinking on it. I don't know for sure yet though.

New Oil Portrait
Im looking for sources for my next portrait due. This portrait will be about my creativity. So to express my love of creativity in the field of painting..... Im thinking I will have paint brushes stabbing through me. Like Saint Sebastian. I am not a fan of oil painting. I will be practicing it but it's going to take a long time to get as good as the idealized skill.
Im just doing the bust. I don't have this body type at the moment. Im not conceded either. These self portraits aren't my choice. They're required assignments.
